The emergency surgery department of the multidisciplinary clinic of the Tashkent Medical Academy consists of 45 beds, all of which are included in the budget. Department 1 building is located on the 5th floor. A total of 59 employees work in the department. Among them, 4 doctors, 22 nurses, 33 junior medical staff.

Department history.

History of the department: Department of purulent surgery was opened in 1987 within the clinic of the 2nd Tashkent State Medical Institute.
Since the opening of the department, the faculty No. 1 and the department of hospital surgery have been operating in the department. Currently, the head of the department is Professor Khakimov M.Sh., and the head of the department is Ph.D. Ashurov Sh.E. have been operating.

The Department of Emergency Surgery is the educational base of Faculty No. 1 of the Tashkent Medical Academy and the Department of Hospital Surgery. Students who come to the department are 1-4-5 students. The department mainly treats patients with urgent abdominal, thoracic and vascular diseases. At present, many laparoscopic, thoracoscopic, endoscopic and other minimally invasive surgical procedures are carried out in the department.

2013 in the department. doctor of medical sciences, professor Murad Shavkatovich Khakimov, doctor of medical sciences in 2007, professor since 2011, head of the department since 2012. The professor is the author of more than 250 scientific articles. In addition, he is the author of 7 monographs and 11 inventions. Supervised 4 doctoral theses and 10 candidate theses.

The emergency surgery department is a structural unit of the TMA multidisciplinary clinic.

– It is designed to provide urgent specialized medical care to patients suffering from urgent surgical diseases.
– The capacity of the emergency surgery department is determined based on the demand and the capacity of the medical institution.
The structure of the department and the number of medical staff and other employees in the state are determined by the head of the medical organization in which the department is established based on the volume of treatment and diagnostic work carried out and the number of the population served, taking into account the recommended state regulations.
3 doctors-surgeons are on duty day and night in the department.

Tasks of the department

Providing specialized emergency conservative and operative medical care to patients with abdominal, thoracic and vascular emergency surgical diseases.
To advise the doctors of the specialized departments of the clinic in the diagnosis and treatment of urgent diseases.
Ensuring coordination and cooperation with paraclinical departments in examination, diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Mastering modern methods of differentiated treatment of urgent surgical diseases and introducing these methods at the regional level.
Keeping accounting and reporting documents, submitting activity reports in the prescribed manner, collecting data for registers whose maintenance is provided for by law.
